Hi so here is the problem.
Sera's tests saws that i have 0 (or near 0 nitrates) in a planted tank which is problem and my new plants seems to have yellow leaves. I want to add Seachem's Nitrogen into a tank to make my nitrate's levels at 20mg/L. In Seachem's site i found one calculator but it is not accurate i guess because it says that i have to add 22,5 caps -112ml of prodact inside my tank to have 20mg/L nitrates. This is huge amount of nitrogen. After there is one * which says " Considerations: If using a “nitrate equivalent” value for Current and Desired Nitrogen levels, divide the result by 5. " This means that i have to use 22,5 :5 caps inside my tank ? I didnt understand Seachem's calculations.. My tank is 240L and lets say the excistance of nitrates are 3mg/L (not accurate cause i am using sera's No3 tests) and i want it to be at least 10-20

should i add 270mL? or 57+- ML to reach 20mg/L as Seachem says?

The fact you’re asking this question i’m going to guess you are trying to do E.I dosing???

If thats the case skip Seachem products and go straight to dry ferts and make your own solution...

I tried to work out how many ferts i would need for E.I dosing using seachem and i can tell you the price would be astronimcal... basically expect to go through a few bottles of each fert a month kinda deal...

But since i cant get dry ferts here, i still use seachem but using my own measurements based on results rather than EI...

So depending why you need your levels that high, i would either look at dosing differently or change ferts used for dosing to help cut back on costs...

I currently using Aquafirest’s one for Nitrates and finally i have 20mg/L

I agree with Fat Homer Fat Homer Go with dry ferts and measuring spoons. Much easier and cheaper.
