Which one is better? From the seachem FAQ they sate: If you have a fish load it would be extremely difficult to bring down your nitrates to zero....

is this true? their comment makes me not want to buy their product

isnt biomax ceramic rings??? i could be wrong.

you can save your money and just keep up with the wc. in reality, you can not have zero nitrate as they are the byproduct of ammonia and nitrite. just keep it at a min.

i am using that seachem stuff now, but there is so much total media within the system, that the tanks parameters stay good and I cant even really judge the stuff. I liked the looks of it and bought 200g worth and have it with a bunch more media on my 300g

Ya its nearly impossible to have zero nitrates, I have BIO-max in 5 of my filters an it does the job pretty well. plus theres so many other bio media types you can use, like Lava rock theres Eheims Ehfisubstrat, Ehfilav. Im my 3 fluvals I have a mix of BIO-max an Ehfilav.
