Seachem Pond matrix and pitbull...

I was setting up my 200g this past monday and while I was seting up the filter a rock size piece of this seachem pond matrix found its way unger my couch. A couple of hours later I find my american pittbull terrier chomping down on it. Now a couple of days later and she is severly sick having an allergic reaction to something... Could this stuff or is it toxic towards dogs???

Any help is greatly appreciated.
