It's time to order Prime again. Amazon is asking $77 shipped for a 4 liter bottle. I don't remember paying that much last time. Has this product gone up in price or am I looking in the wrong places? If you have a supplier with a better price, let me know. Thanks in advance for the help.

I was looking at that. Let me make sure I understand correctly.

4L Prime (4000ml)/5l per dose x 50 gallons per dose = 40,000 gallons

1 KG Safe (1000 g)/ .1 g dose x 25 gallons per dose = 250,000 gallons.

Am I missing something? How was I previously unaware of this?

That's what I'm talking about. Thanks guys.

How much conditioner one has to use totally depends on the disinfectant level of chlorine or chloramine in your tap water. For myself, @ 2 mg/l (ppm) of chloramine, a 4kg container of Safe treats 400,000 gallons of tap water.

Let me put it this way...
Prime is meant for your average fishkeeper to use during waterchanges
Safe is meant for MFKers :headbang2

??? Well safe is unavailable for us Canadians. Every online Canadian fish store sponsors or vendors don't sell it. I could order bulk of safe from the states but the shipping is what kills us. I use prime so I guess I'm a avg fishkeeper??? Lol. Also 77 bux for 4L of prime is cheap. In Canada 85 bux is the cheapest.

Pond prime goes much further than regular prime, I have made the switch due to the relatively high cost of regular prime.
