Today I bought some these cool little &4 Seachem things at my LFS.
They are suction cup little credit card see through things that turn colors to alert you of high levels of varying things. I bought ones for temp, pH, hardness, nitrite, and ammonia.

I stuck them in some tap water in a little 10 gal and added ammonia. Test strip read the same as the Seachem card. pH said same as strip for my 55 gal. Temp read same as thermometer and nitrite 0 and nitrate 20 both.

Seems super reliable.

If you could update up over a couple weeks, it might be worth getting.. Thanks for sharing...

I just noticed we both sig'ed Zfishies... lol!

Sure I'll keep you updated and duh! That was the funniest thing ever when I got on to check the thread and it said that. Put the temp one in the 10 gal and am playing with the heater. Seems to be working great as well.

To my knowledge they only make the ammonia and ph "alert" products?

I've been using both for over a year now. They work well. They are called "Alert" for a reason... They aren't designed to replace liquid test kits, they are simply designed to alert you there's something wrong. Any ammonia in a tank means there's something wrong if you're already cycled...

The ammonia alert works great but their pH alert is a waste of money. The shades of orange are not accurate at all and then the color fades rapidly.
