Seachem Purigen ?'s

Just started using purigen and I double bagged it in aquaclear 110 bags( large) and some of the media passed through both bags, Does this happen to you? Is there a better bag to use? I am running two of these bags doubled up and with 500 mls in each. Suggestions.

call me crazy, but i've used white tube socks before and they honestly work great, but look really cheap

I have always thought that it's not so much a filter as much as a crystallizer... it's meant to take small impurities out of the water making it clear.. *shrugs*

I think I'll try socks, there is no more media getting out now, but I 'm sure if I moved the bags more would come out.

I used pantyhose for a year and they work fine, then i found a bag with small enough micron to hold the purigen.

Seriously though, what's smaller without going to a diatom filter?

my lfs has real fine filter bags i used them before they worked good the nylon pantyhose would probally be the best bet the filter bags i bought were a lil pricey
