Seachem Purigen - where to put in an FX5?

Hi everyone. This seems to be the place where the fx5 experts congregate . I've got an FX5, with each media basket filled with efhisubstrat pro. I want to start using purigen, but I'm wondering where I put it. I'm guessing the water should go through the purigen last, on its way back into the tank. In my head this means the bacteria get most of the NOx first, giving them more to eat and prolonging the life of the purigen. Is this the correct assumption? If so, where's the best place to put it so it doesn't interfere with the bio filtration?

Put it on top of the top basket. Like you said you want it after the bio.

Purigen will adsorb the same things that keep your bio-filter functioning, so id put it after the bio

Hi. The flow runs top to bottom on a FX5, to placing it at the top will be before the bio. Placing it at the bottom would seem to be the answer, but where? I suppose I'm asking for someone really familiar with the internal flow mechanics of an fx5, or has done it themselves

Yeah I was thinking of the flow path backwards from what it is. I guess you'd want the purigen in the bottom basket.

I keep it in the top basket. I want the water to be as clean as possible before it gets to the biomax.
