How long does seachem purigen last?

It really depends on the bioload of your tank and how much purigen you are using. I use 4 liters in the sump for my 450gal tank which has sixteen 5"-6" Frontosa and 1M 8"/1F 6" Star Sapphire cichlids. The 4 liters of Purigen lasts about 8-10 weeks before I feel the need to regenerate it - this is when the Purigen is I'd say a medium brown color). I regenerate it 2 times before discarding and purchasing new Purigen.
