my 72g bowfront started to re-cycle after I cleaned its filter (eheim pro 2 series canister filter) too well. I have been adding "Seachem-Stability" to the tank for almost a week now and don't see any results when I test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. I am using an API multi-test kit and have an eheim carbon sponge running in the canister filter. could the carbon nullify the effects of the "Stability"?
Ammonia-6ppm (I have added Seachem-Prime to change the ammonia into a non-toxic form)
Nitrite-0ppm
Nitrate-0ppm

I have to say this about SeaChem, if a product is meant to work: theirs will.

The only problem with any of these products is this: the type of bacteria that utilizes the nitrification process cannot be bottled with an extremely long shelf life. Sure, there might be a colony of nitrobacter and/or nitrosomona living in there, but they can only do so much. Without certain types of the nitrospiros, then you will still see a cycle... maybe a smaller one... but one nonetheless. My advice is to go get a packet of BioSpira. It is kept refrigerated, and popular to what some people say on here, is the only product proven to contain all the right bacteria. Even then, improper handling and packaging can cause it to fail.

Bio-Spira got bought out by Marineland and is now an "off the shelf" product too. AKA JUNK
