I bought a 100 gal Sea View 2 with a built in wet\dry. My friend has a Tenecor with a similiar set-up, though the Tenecor filter is nicer. Mine has 1 pump at the end at 350 gph and has almost no mechanical or chemical filtration besides a cloth "pre-filter" and a small compartment for chemical which only some of the water pass's through. http://www.tropicalfishstore.com/seaclear-system2.htm that is a link to my filter system (though shown 1\2 size for the 50 gal its the same just larger) As shown on the link, 2. is the small mechanical filter and 7. is the media which only a small amount of water trickles through. Large bio and thats it.

I want to mod it to make it better for the chemical and mechanical. My idea was to get a canister filter to replace the pump in the end compartment, sucking it out after the wet/dry then back in through the turbulence manifold. The plumbing is 3\4 which is close enough to most canister filters. Rena xp4 maybe fluval fx5? Any idea's???? My tank is a 100 gal freshwater "grow-out" for my RTC and school of neon tetras.

Please look at my link and post how you would mod the wet\dry? If the tank wasnt cycled i might of just removed it, but then again i kinda like knowing i have a huge amount of bio.

Ive been working over-time to finance this all so Im willing to spend around 300$, but more if anyone has got a good idea. Please investigate and reply, I'll take the time to consider all mods.
