seahorses in 10 gallon

So many people ask about seahorses and just for starters most species should only be kept in a minimum sized tank of 30 gallons. Seahorses can grow to 12 inches and need the vertical swimmi9ng space to be happy. they are slow eaters so keeping them with other fish may cause them to starve being the other fish will eat the food befor they have the chance to get any which will cause them to slowly starve to death. I'd recommend keeping them with some sponge gorgonia or any type of seafan because they like to hold on to it with thier tails. they should also only be kept in a mature tank that has been running for about 6 months with matured LR and only be kept by an expierenced marine aquarist. Do research on these animals befor you decide to keep them, they are very delicate.

I hate to sound negative to you Cheeseburger. But keeping Seahorses does require a Larger system than you have. Even with Dwarf speciese, they would require a larger home.
They would require a very gentle water movement, and preferably some long leafed Macro Algae to hold onto. To succeed in keeping them well fead, they should idealy be kept in a species only system. They simply cannot compete for their food.
