i used a undercoat and sealer its kinda like tar it worked good to help addhese some fibeglass resin i put on top of it the mason undercoat diddnt seem to be very waterproof and im pretty sure its not fish safe but had no intention of using these items as final coating i used some stone effects step 3 counter top coating very waterproof very strong its fda approved so it should be fish safe the idea is your supposed be able to eat of it the problem being a tub of 5oo ml is 50 dollars home depot but im not reccomending the resin and mason i used this stuff to try to eliminate some of the coats of the expensive epoxy but if you got the coin fot the stone effects you could run with that i havnt used a marine epoxy resin yet though

have you tried the drylok im working on somthing similar after reading i likewomens drylok forum i have some stuff that i think is the same thing but a different brand ive already got four coats on the inside and am contemplating some other stuff im trying to avoid ththe stone effects for something cheaper.
