sealing acrylic to PVC?

I have a slight leak under a hole that is plugged on the back of my 300. If I drain the tank below the level of the plug and coat it with PVC cement, will that seal it? It's a very very slow drip.

If not, what do you suggest? It would be very difficult to remove the plug because the tank is against a wall.

I think that would work. Maybe when the cement drys, go over it with silicone.

Yea it should work the active ingrident is the same I believe, [SIZE=-1]methyl ethyl ketone.[/SIZE]

If that doesn't work there's always Weld-On, it says it bonds acrylic to PVC.
