sealing decorations

I put our fake driftwood back in the tank last night because I realized it has lots of nooks and crannies for the loaches to hide in but didnt count on them getting up inside it.

I had a bit of a panic when I couldnt find any of them for well over an hour this morning!!

The holes arent really big enough and the space is super limited inside the wood so Id like to seal it if possible to keep them from getting stuck or suffocating...

But I have no idea how??

2 part epoxy paint is the best solution, but it is difficult to find in clear. Silicone isn't a good choice, as it doesn't fare well inside the tank itself.

How would I use the epoxy to close up the holes?

i just took my gravel and jammed the whole in mine

Same problem with my loaches, had to remove the decor. Boomer Sooner by the way

the gravel will just fall back out, its too big of a hole, If I can get my three big guys to come out later Im going to pull it out until I can figure out how to plug the holes.

Im a little worried though because they didnt even come out for frozen bloodworm

Fill it with sand so that there is just enough sand to reach the edge of the hole. Then fill the hole with hot glue. It will run on the inside of the hole and form a plug that cannot fall out if done right.
