sealing up tank with silicon

yesterday i bought a 30 gallon reptile tank and im trying to put fish in it. i know that its very risky since i might have a breakout but its just temperarly for a month.

but back to my question, the tank is leaking so i went to home depot and bought some silicon II* clear 100% silicon and i was wondering if its safe for my fish because it looks like its used for windows,doors,attics and basements... thanks

not an expert but i wouldnt use that seal since there might be other ingredients, just but some aquarium seal its cheap, also why is this in the health and illness section?

as long as it doesn't have algaecided in it, it will be fine. i (along with others) typically use GE silicone 1
