Hello ive been researching on Fire eels and I am now looking to add one to my current tank, and I have been Looking for one for quite sometime and have not been abke to find any except for this run down place that was charging ridculous prices, so my question is if anyone knew where to get a good quality fire eel juveniles perferable up to 4" inches would be ideal also that the price is reasonable as well, if anyone could point me in the right direction it'd be much appreciated.

4" is a pretty small eel to start with, personally, id look more towards a 6" one to start. where all have you looked online? is shipping an option for you? i know some people are often scared to do so, as i was my first go round, but as long as u use a reputable seller with a good policy for returns and customer service u should be good.

where in IL are you located? I use to live near chicago and atm near Milwaukee. and I would reccomend getting one 6"+ the smaller they are ime the harder they are to keep alive. and how much are you willing to spend? generally you will spend more then 15$ for a tiny one and more the bigger they are. they are also notorious for eating only live foods.
