Ok so I have been doing tons of searching and research on this 72' fixture and so far I have learned it not a true individual reflector but just one plate bent specifically around all the bulbs. So I would like to ask to all who own this fixture for PAR readings at specific depths and see if it bent plate trick would give enough PAR for a 150 gal (72'x18'x28') reef tank with clams/nems.

I kinda need some input on this with the next hour due to the fact one 72' is available for me for 300 dollars.

The newer models have reflectors that wrap around each bulb. It's formed from one sheet of aluminum. You could cut the reflector apart, and then it would magically become "true individual reflectors", but it would have no impact on performance. Likewise, brands that do use a separate sheet for each reflector would work just as well if they were the same shape but formed out of one larger sheet.

The older nova extreme fixtures don't have contoured reflectors. The fixture you're looking at may be one of those.

It actually was an individual reflection model I received and for 300 bucks for a 12 bulb 72' model not a bad deal if I do say so myself. Btw If anyone has the Nova Extreme pro and has a PAR meter? Can they please post the PAR rating at different depth on this thread? I can really use that information.:nilly:
