Hi there
(First time grandfish parent here 🥰)

We have some baby bristlenose in their grow out tank that are few weeks old & going strong 😊 some are in breeder box some are free in tank (we wanted to see what works better for care & survival)
One of our Albino Bristlenose has laid a bunch of eggs overnight in the log in our large community tank.
My question is should we get a larger box in the community tank it currently is in & put the log with dad & eggs in that? Or could we put in the baby bristlenose gown out tank?
Reason for asking is we're new to this and it gets a little overwhelming to do the best by all of them, plus we are going away Monday for 5 days first holiday in 5 years 🤦‍♀️ one of our adult kids is coming to look after all the animals while we're away and we want to set the bristlenose up safely Sunday before we go. Any advice is muchly appreciated 🐟🐠🐟 thanks Cathy

I suggest do that. Don't disturb the male and eggs in the log. Do you have a seeded sponge filter for the growout aquarium? If not toss a sponge filter in the main aquarium for about 4-6 weeks and you should have beneficial bacteria on the sponge. That's what we mean by seeded. The only other advice I can give you is to make sure the care taker doesn't overfeed while you're on holiday.
Welcome aboard

Thank you 😊 yes I have the sponge filter in the grow out aquarium. My daughter is going to pop over while we're away to make sure he doesn't over feed, she has 4 tanks and pretty good with taking care of fish. I'll probably be face timing to check on them everyday 😆 thanks for the advice. This forum has been great for any things we've been wanting to know.
