second convict spawning much larger!! see pics.

i am sooo happy my convicts spawned a much bigger clutch the second time around. i guess practice makes perfect

the fist couple pics is my con pair's first spawn 3 days after i purchased them.
very small clutch of eggs. it only yeilded about 35 fry.

last pic is their second spawn 2 weeks after their first. i would estimate a little
over a hundred fry this time

sorry no fry pictures they are too close to the bottom and my crappy dig cam
won't focus right.

I am hoping my pink convicts will spawn again, last time was a bust. There is an oscar in the tank, and hopefully the fry will provide some free food for him for a while, he is eating me broke. I woke up this morning, and he, at 4 inches, had a black convict that was over an inch in his mouth. hopefully he'll get his fill.

I used to have convicts before and they never stop spawning. I transfer the fingerlings to another tank where majority survives. Soon, i just give them away or i keep the biggest male and female and the rest goes to the river.
