So I have this crazy idea. Since I plan on adding a couple Morays to my tank I thought up(Sure it's already been done never seen it myself though) I want to make a Moray hideaway. Is there anyway I can cut a piece of PVC in half then attach it to the side of the aquirium on the bottom so it can be half way dug into the substrate and the remainder covered up with LR. Here's the kicker I would like for it to be able to be removed if it gets old or something.

Hi Viper,
What about Silicone strips of Velcro on the Glass and the PVC, .... Make sure you don't force the Wet Silicone through the Velcro Backing and Clog up the Hooks and Eyes.

That way you can peel the PVC away when you want to remove it from the Glass.

Re ... Silicone not Sticking to PVC ,...... maybe Epoxy (Areldite ) , Super Glue. on the PVC side.

Just a thought ..............

Cheers Ron.

Small suction cups are usually just a few cents each at the LFS or hardware store; you could superglue some of these to the bottom edge of the pipe.

I have to say that, I honestly would have never thought about either one of those! I like the velcro idea but the suction cup idea is perfect that way if I don't like it after I'm done I can just pull it off and nothin is left behind but the velcro would secure it a little better I'll probably end up trying both....

Can you actually paint PVC and it still be SW safe?

Yes you can. Just make sure it is fully dried before using.
