Greetings everyone!

I just got some styrofoam rocky background for my tank. It comes in 3 pieces to fit my tank which is 72 inches. How do i secure it to the back of the tank? Silicone will it help? or just squeeze it into place will do?

Experienced help needed.

Thank u !
:)

I'm in the process of making a styro bkgd myself and plan on using silicone to adhere the entire back area. If you don't and the bkgd stays in the same place for a long time you're bound to get pockets of stagnant water trapped between the bkgd and the glass depending on whether or not the design allows for water current in all areas of the tank. Perhaps some people out there let this happen with no ill effect to the fish but I'd rather avoid the possibility of anaerobic bacteria hotspots.
