Saratoga Jardini (31cm) vs Sailfin Plecostomas (12cm)

I have recently moved my Saratoga into my flatmates 6ft tank, and after a few weeks of not eating he has now turned very agresive and started eating everything again (good toga). Unfortunately this means whenever I put logs or sticks or $100+ Sail Fin Plecos in there with him, he chomps it (bad Toga). I put the Pleco in last night and when I came down today he is missing his sailfin.
My question is, can I put the Pleco back in the 4ft tank only 2 days after moving it into the 6ft? Here's my thoughts.
*The Pleco was slowly acclimatised to the 6ft via means of an airline drip over 15-20 mins.
*Both tanks are well adjusted
*I'm worried that leaving him in the 6ft with the Jardini will lead to further stress, or him getting eaten

If i was to leave him in the 6ft, would the Toga eventually realize that he isn't food? They where living together in the 4ft without to much drama.

Pity you cant sedate the things somehow to make them all get along, maybe plumb some No2 into the venturi. (kidding)

Thoughts?

Jars have a pretty nasty reputation. I've always wanted one, but hearing how aggressive they can get, I'm always worried about the other fish. I don't have any experience with them since I've never owned one, but I've heard a lot of things about them. It's definitely trial and error when it comes to tank mates with these guys. Good Luck!

most of the time jardinis are just moderately aggressive but it 25% of cases they are EVIL. Sometime jardinis are really friendly you can even mix them with neon tetras.
