I currently have a 75gal with 2 plecos a blood parrot and an Oscar. The tank is well established for 3 years. I have been running 2,emperor 400 filters but am upgrading to a canister. What is the best way to do the change over to keep BB. Should I run the new canister with the old filters for a while or, take the pads out of the emperors,, or is most of the BB in the tank substrate and rocks?
