Seeding 130 gallon?

So now that I know my 130 is gonna hold, I am going to get a heater for it. I was gonna take all the gravel out of my 75 gallon and put it in the 130 since I want bare bottom in the 75. I am also gonna take the filter out of it and run it in the 130. Will that be enough to seed my 130? I was gonna add a couple of my smaller blood parrots at first and eventually add the other fish including my 8" oscar.

If the filter was over sized for the 75, I think it will be fine (I think)

If you transfer all of the gravel, and the whole filter, you can put the bioload that you had in your 75, into your 130, and gradually increase your stocking. You will likely need to get another filter for the 130, and run them both at the same time...depending on the filter capacity you have going on your 75 right now.

I moved all the gravel and put the filter on the tank. Added several small fish and will wait a bit before I add the oscar who will be the largest fish in the tank.

Good Idea. Like the above(poster above you) poster said the BB will be able to work for a 75 gallon. Your almost twice as much. Wait a week or so then add the Oscar. Also you will need another filter. Unless the 75 filter was already big for that tank.
