Here's my plans, hopefully the rest of my parts will come in today or Monday. Then I'll fill it and let it run a day or two with nothing in it. Then I will seed it with a crap load of beneficial bacteria from my FX-6 upstairs. It will be enough to turn the water a nice brown color. Then I'll transfer the three running aquaclear 110s from my two established 55s on to it as well. Then I'll add my fish and keep a close eye on my levels with daily water tests and water changes if levels start to rise. I'm also going to put a bag or two of the fluval ammonia remover in my FX-5 as a precaution.

Sounds like a solid plan. The 3x 110's would probably be enough cycled filtration, but more is always better. I have never used any ammonia removing media, so have no idea if it works well or not. Can't wait to see it set up.

you need the ammonia to cycle the tank though.....might as well just wait a week to put any fish in there
