Any info would be great... I am setting up a new 55 gal for my kids and want to help it cycle faster. I put a HOB filter on my 125 to build bacteria in its bio wheels. Its been running on there since Wednesday, how long will it take to build a good culture?

It's going to take a good while. You don't have more established media to use? You can also buy Stability, which is basically bacteria in a bottle.
No I do have another smaller filter that I am putting with it. I was just hoping to double the effort. Thanks for the response.
I would put a small pinch of fish food in there that way the bacteria have a substrate(food source) to work off of.
