Seeding a tank

So my kids won some gold fish at a fair we had an xtra 10 gallon that they are in now if I dump the old water into my not cycled 220 will it help seed my 220? I figure id do this every other day or so till I can figure a better living condition for the gold fish

It won't really help put the goldfish in the 220. Then when you add fish they will take care of the goldfish for you

all the substrate, filter media and orniments will do more good than water.

I was thinking more of the water being an ammonia source

But now once the mini tank cycles I won't have ammonia something I didn't think of

And my kids already said no to putting the goldfish in I even suggested naming the new goldfish breakfast, lunch, and dinner but they didn't like that idea lol
