Seeking Inspiration to find the best predatory fish

Hi Gyes og Ladyes.

After a break on in the fish hobby im looking to find the coolest predator I can bye to my freshwater tank.

Latest I had was the spotted aligator gar and a bikir. Unfortunaly I lost them dou to a broken tank.

I would love to create at cool tank and are oper for any ideas you migth have.

Im not so strong in this game, so please write the full name of your favorite species. I will google it to se what it is, size ect.

Hope to se alot of cool fish.

A black diamond piranha would be awesome but it would be the only thing you could keep in the tank, or a shoal of red bellies! Or if you want something really mean looking a vampire tetra or a tiger fish.

There are plenty of species of snake heads in different colors and max sizes. Pic one that will fit you best. Watch your fingers though, or he will eat them

I personally find datnoids cooler predators than most fish, snakeheads included. So "lmao" that.

Bah datnoids are dumb in my opinion but i don't consider them predatory fish. I guess thats why i "lmao" They are a great looking fish but i could think of 500 other things to fill my 450 gallon they would eventually require.

Depending on the size of your tank, I would get a channa micropeltes
"Redline Snakehead." My all time favorite fish that I have owned. Also, Fahaka puffer is a great fish with plenty of personality.

Bowfins are cooler than snakeheads IMO, but I agree with The Canuck, I don't really think of datnoids as predators (though they are predatory, they just aren't what I think of when I hear "predatory fish"), I'd go with a bowfin, and if that isn't available, a snakehead. Black rhombeus piranha are also cool once they get big, but from what I've read about them, they take forever to get big.
