contacted glasscages for something larger than my 300 I got from them and this was the quote I was given

96 x 37 1/2" x 36 1/2" tall glass aquarium = $2625

96 x 36 x 36" tall acrylic aquarium = $7700 +

Horizontal overflows available on either model.

The acrylic quote just seems through the roof. Anyone else thinking its high?

It does seem a bit high but keep in mind the taller the tank, the more expensive the tank. Try getting a quote on a tank that's only 24" or 30" high and I guarantee it will be significantly cheaper

anything taller than 30" usually gets expensive.

hmmm might have to scale back to 30" but I definitely want to stay away from 24" anymore.

I wonder how extreme the weight would be on the glass one. At that price I could go for it.

Go with a 30" tall. You will save a ton of money. I had a glasscages 96x24x30. It was heavy as hell. 4 guys to pick it up a move

Is there any particular reason you want the 3' height? Otherwise, it seems like over kill no? Especially if its going to cost you double the price...

Just want to have the extra water volume in the same footprint size as well as have a larger front display. My current height is 25" and adding just 5" doesnt seem like a lot.

^ then maybe better to play it slightly safer and lower it a little?
