Seems like i got That festivum

Have had this guy about 3 months now has gone from about 1" to 3".

In that time hes killed off the other (I'll assume) male festivum that was purchased with him, he bullies and steals food right out of my columbian tetras mouths( today I watched him steal an earthworm from them), and holds his own against his much larger tankmates

Not complaining at all he fits right in, more just an observation as they're typically considered peaceful.

None of my groups of wild Mesonauta have ever been peaceful. Once they hit sexual maturity the males become pests, patrolling the tanks and dive-bombing other large cichlids and generally being nippy.

This guy definantly picks fights with bigger fish. His favorite targets are my 6" geo brasiliensis and my female convict

Mine started eating Rummy nose tetras within 2 min of being introduced. Didn't last long and back he went a week later after decimating the tetra school. They are no angels.

It's funny, at one time I considered Mesonauta to be peaceful because all of those I've have been peaceful. But-- apparently they belong among the depends on the individual, tank, tankmates, etc. types.
