My buddy's Motoro just "shed" his stinger and has not attempted eating it. it's a good two and a half inch barb and only about an inch is sticking out of it's mouth. Any suggestions on what he should do?

he should net the ray and pull it out, have another person hold the barb on the tail and then pull it out... if it sticks into the top of its mouth it most likly wont eat

fixed what I meant to say. The barb is in his mouth, for further clarification. Sorry about that confusion haha.

Just net it and pull it out? I think we can do that. I'll have him try. He was just really worried about hurting the ray and didn't want to pull it out. Not much else we can do though, I guess. Thank you!

my female motoro stung my male leo in the mouth when he was trying to mate with her, and i waited for 2 weeks to see if it would fall out.... it ended up going in more eventualy i took a pair of tongs and just held them in the tank and he figured out after me trying to grab it twice what i was doing and when i was holding the tongs a foot above the bottem of the tank he went on top of it and waited for me to pull it out
