Was it a Jardini or a Leichardti? last is mellower than the first.
Both grow to around 2 feet ( some say more ) and are in the agressive tier of predators. Jards should be kept alone if you love your other fish.
They stay silverish, with some pinkish /golden overtones.

jars stay closer to 2ft, leichardti's can easily reach 3ft.
both are a tad agressive when older. lei's look very very silverish compared to jars.
i prefer lei over jar, and i am having luck with tankmates so far.

Yup Leichardtis can easily get 3 feet. And Jars more like 2. Leichardtis are easier with tankmates most of the time.
