alrighty, i have 2 monos which i bought at the same time one established its dominance nd is wreaking havoc on the smaller of the two soooo i pulled the smaller out and put him in a tank by himself to gut load him an power feed him to get him the same size and if possible bigger, my questions are 1. How long will it take the bass to eat since its in a new tank? 2. Will this even work? 3.Fish fillets, shrimp, pellets best food or any other advice? 4. If this works will the bass get along good enough to co-exist happy for the expanse of there lives? thanks guys

Nope that is waaaay to cold for small cichla. If thats what your temp is you need to slowly raise it to 87 over a few days time. Small cichla are prone to ich at cool temps.
Isolating him was a good idea. Give him a couple days to adjust if he is not eating....he'll eat eventually. As for gettn only 2 cichla....no good. Its like most fish. They do better as a single fish or you need 3 or more to spread the aggression. If possible go grab one or two more cichla.
