Seine or cast net?

I guess it comes down to if you have help or not...siene is better but you need two people to use it so cast net may b ur best option if ur usually alone.

seine. you will shred a cast net VEEEERY quickly in freshwater, especially if you're considering throwing it in the creeks.

That's what I was thinking. My old one was absolutely destroyed.

You can roll them up and do it by yourself too.

I use both, 99% in creeks. I tend to tear up cast nets more in lakes because of the structure I cant see vs. what I can see in the creeks. If I had to choose one, it would be the sein. A lot of times the cast nest, the holes are rather large, large enough for a lot of fish to get stuck in the holes, then when you bring the net in to remove the fish, you seem to kill a lot of them or damage their gills. I use a sein by myself as well, just roll it up so you can move through the currents, kick up rocks, etc.
