I'm Where I'm At
This plastic polymer shares the same regenerative traits as human skin.

When cut in half, the plastic will naturally congeal after two hours at room temperature without an outside catalyst. The team even nicknamed the plastic “Terminator” after the T-1000 that heals itself in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.”

Watch the video to see for yourself. After slicing the plastic, Odriozola placed the parts together and left the room. Within two hours, the plastic had gelled together; pulling it hard couldn't tear it in half again.

the video I posted is different from the video in the link but they basically show the same thing. But this is very interesting imo. I can think of all kinds of applications for this stuff.

if the plastic ever became self aware we are screwed

The poor way the video was edited will leave doubt that it was faked. A time lapse FFing would be more convincing to some people. My thoughts though are that it's actually more of an extremely solid-like liquid rubber rather than an actual plastic...but my chemistry background is only so-so, so I might be wrong

Pretty cool. With that stuff you wouln't have to run around the house looking for the glue that long since dried out since the last time you used it.

One problem is that if you had two items made of this plastic touching each other they might fuse together....
