I have a 10g tank and I was wondering if it would be possible to do a 10 gallon self sustaining tank. if so how would I do it? thanks

lots of plants and a couple of guppies w/ a small filter ( wash insert every few months),gonna need good lighting for the plants

Howdy,

Absolutely! I've got a 15 gal with 2213 Eheim canister, Cryptocoryne, Vallisneria, and Anubias. It houses a breeding colony of Garras. They spawn once a year, i.e. when I change water. Filter gets cleaned then, too.

Old school.
Good luck,
HarleyK
