can u guys help me out -
im thinking of selling my ghost knife (approx 8.5")
my farlowella (approc 8-9")
and 3 clown loaches (2 about 4.5-5" and one at 6") *i have a buyer for these

but i have no clue how much to ask for - can you give me an idea.

I asked $100 for all three loaches (is that fair?)

and what of the other two any ideas?

I think the CL price is very fair. I've seen loaches that size go for much more than that.

To be honest, I've never really followed Farlowella and GK. What did you pay for them, and at what size did you get them?

i was given the yank along with the fish by a friend so i have no idea.
i really love the loaches but they re already getting too large for the tank as well as the GK and im not a fab of the farlowella
so i have NO idea what to charge though i have buyers for all

well, a petsmart ghost knife at 3" is about $20, so at 8.5". . . maybe $70?

$100's for 3 clown loaches?! Do you guys in Canada have a shortage of clown loaches of something?
I've seen 4-6inch clown loachs go for about £7's at my lfs.

Good prices on your side of the pond then. 4 inchers go for $25+ stateside

wow nice i checked a few LFS here and the 3-4" were going for $45.00
Dont know why they are sooo expensive.
The guy seemed happed with my price though.

I have found NOTHING for the farlowella
and I hope I can get that much for hte GK ($70)

If I can sell all those guys I can afford to get a 2nd BIGGER tank :D

woohoo!

Which type of farlowella, normal or royal? Do you know the scientific name? That would make it easier. But ballpark, if it's a normal $20 royal $50.

One LFS I frequent had 5 inch clown loaches for $30 each. If I didn't have 7 already, I'd have bought the lot. $100 for your three is a very fair price. The 6" alone is worth at least $60. Something like 2.5-3" $10, 4" $20-25, 5" $30-55, 6-8" $60-100, 9+" an arm and maybe a leg.
