yea you are right mine started out in fresh as well but as they grow then need salt and they should be in salt way before 14 inches IMO, at least he should be in brackish at this point. its just not good for the eel they are less active less colorful and more sickly in the long run its just not good for them to be in Fresh water so dont get your panties in a bunch.
