How do you entertain the idea of selling what you (not you but, your fish) produce to your local fish store? How would you go about this is a professional manner?

You from the Bay, huh??/Im from Gfrisco.....I have a few stores in the city take in fry....A spawn of about 300-2 month old Red Devil fry got me 20-30 dollar credit.....Everytime my cons breed, I save 30 and trade in for a package of Hikari pellets....

The key is to have a relationship with folks at the store and to demonstrate that your fish are good quality (not too small, they are what you say they are, no deformities or disease, etc.).

When you're in the store see if they have in stock what you want to trade. If they're out, ask them if you could bring some to re-stock. Ask how many they'd like.

This is far preferable than showing up with a bucket of hundreds of fry.

I usually get 1/3 selling price credit from LFS.

To some LFS giving local people credit is preferable to paying cash + shipping to a wholesaler or farm. LFS attitudes toward hobbyists like me is a big determinant where I bring my business.

Most stores here dont really want to buy fish from customers and the ones that do, only want certain baby fishes. They dont give much credit for them.Talk with the managers and see if they would be interested in what you have.
