Semaprochilodus - Flagtails

hey guys

i jst wanna share some pix of my flagtails. there's 10 of them in the tank @ 3"+. they dnt fight much but when it comes to feedin time they go nuts fightin for the food. They are been fed colorbits, bloodworms & spriulina pellets

They are in a 4x18x20 tank filterd by an eheim 2213 and ehiem 2215 at the moment.My plans are to move them into a 6ft or 8ft in 3-4months time.

How much you think they will grow in 1 yrs time?

very nice, with that many in there and it not being a massive tank i do reckon that you'll run into some territorial problems at some point. They arent a massivly fast growing fish but i reckon that you could have some pushing 9-10" in a years time,

Mine have grown from about 2.5-3" to 7.5-9" in about 9 months. I have 3 in a 100 along with other species. They fought a lot when they hit about 4-6 inches. They don't fight so much now. Maybe they have it worked out, or maybe there is just enough wood and stuff in the tank that there is plenty of territory and they do sit and stare at each other.
