I recently acquired 3 small cichlids between 2.5" to 3". They don't seem to get along well.. and I'm firstly trying to find out how they can stay peaceful. Secondly, I'll appreciate it if someone can help me identify their species. I feel there'll be problems if they're what I think they are. Anyway, Cichlids can be confusing even to FSO
Below are their pics..
Sorry for the blurry images.IMG_20200105_224327.jpgIMG_20200105_221921.jpgIMG_20200105_220325.jpg

Ima guess top is Mayan, middle is flowerhorn / maybe Texas and bottom is jaguar.
These fish will only get along in a very large tank with lots of territory for them to get away from each other.

Then again.. if they need to get away from each other, it means they cannot get along. ?

Wow.. based on the your answers, I further checked and you guys are spot on identifying the fish. Can you help tell me which among the 3 breeds will be dominant in a month's time? Currently, it's the Mayan, being marginally bigger at over 3". Appreciate it.

You have three very aggressive cichlids. So the thought of them getting along is probably not likely. Like others have said, giving them space and hiding areas that they can claim as their own space is most likely the only way they can survive. 125 gallon tank will be the minimum size tank for these three as they start to grow. Are you aware that the texas/flowerhorn has the potential to grow to a size of 6-9 inches?? The mayan can grow to the same size or larger and the jag can grow to over 12 inches as an adult.
