I have a 2 to 3 gallon fish bowl that's kinda shaped like a vase. I was looking for something I could plant on the bottom but would grow out the top. Preferably something that would flower nicely. I was looking at orchids but there's so many different types that it was overwhelming. I couldn't figure out which ones would survive those conditions. Unless otherwise instructed the plan was to just have water and substrate. Maybe with some shrimp and a rock or two? Any ideas?

You could actually grow a lotus as long as the plant receives fairly strong light. Peace lilies are also popular but they floated with only roots in water. Some of the bacopas would work

Hmmmm I like the bacopas although I was looking more for something that protruded more.
As for peace lilies yea I definitely prefer something rooted at the bottom.
Wouldn't the lotus be far too for such a small bowl?
