I had a pair several years ago. They were moderately aggressive. Not horrific though. Mostly territorial and protected their part of the tank. Mine were about 7" when I got rid of them.

Here's a few pics from the time they were just a couple inches to about the time I got rid of them. These are some of the first fish pictures I ever took so bear with me.

The female sparring with female "Escondido" that is protecting her fry. It's a crappy pic but I thought it was pretty cool regardless.

For what it's worth, the female by far was the more colorful of the two fish and definitely had attitude.
 
not really a colorful fish, but from the looks of it, has personality to spare....
 
thanks for sharing . rapps has some so i will probably get one or two. I love pikes and always have at least one in my tank and since i just restarted my 180gal. i'm looking for a med. size pike that can hold it's own.this is what i have so far 2 tomo asfraci 2istlanum 2grammodes 2feastea all about 2inches
