I just got my Senegalus feeding on shrimp pellets and I was wondering what else would be good for it and how to prepare it.

Right now I'm alternating between pellets and bloodworms every other day. Do these guys want/need veggies? What else should I be feeding.

He's currently 3-4"

Congrats! I couldn't get mine to eat anything other then frozen bloodworms and beefheart. Gets spendy. Today I went and got some fat medium crickets and froze them. Dropped a couple in and he had a hayday!

tailapia fillets and earth worms are good too

mine go nutters over worms.. and they're very good for them. I feed my small polys 6" range a mix of NLS pellets, bloodworms, krill, and occasional beefheart. But they'll try anything once. My Sens will even take down feeder fish, and any fish they think will fit in their mouths. I try not ot feed to many pellets and will usually give them a few along with frozen/fresh foods to help avoid any issues with bloating.

They do not need veggies. they are carnivores
