senegal and delhezi fighting?

I just got a 7" Delhezi from my lfs and put him in with my 6.5" Senegal and my Senegal has started chasing him around and vibrating his head, he even looks like he's flaring his gills a bit. What type of behavior is this? I am not familiar with polys and I've only had the Segenal by himself for a few years now.

sound like mating lol, if your sen is positioning juxtapose and then shaking his body with no biting its trying to engage in mating.

but your sen is still small not sure if they should be doing that at that size.

says he's had the sen for a few years though, might be a runt but if its 3-4 years old i could definitely see it giving it a go.

like spirit said just check for fin damage otherwise i wouldn't worry

Ok, thanks. I don't think they are trying to mate, it seems the Senegal is just curious. He also might be a runt, I had 2 and the one that died was growing much bigger and faster. And he's really hyper, and I don't think thats normal.
