senegal and oscar

can these 2 fish coexist?
ive kept bichir with large cichlids before.
and i have a senegal about 8" in a tank with other fish
but im getting a 8" or so oscar, they are both similar size and temperement, can they live together?

If it is just one oscar I am pretty sure you will be fine. Just provide hiding spots.

thanks for the info =) the bichir is very laid back he just likes to eat small fish.
does anyone here keep the 2 together succesfully?

i have two senegals (one is albino, one regular) and i have them in with one oscar. Both of my sen. are around 4-5 inches and my oscar is around 3.5 inches, they so far coexsist very nicely. Oscars temperment can change with size, but alot of times (the oscar being the only one in the tank) get more gentle with size, being know as a gentle giant, very similar to a true giant guorami. However, it does depend on the fish itself.
