senegal back tumor: what is it?

Senegal back tumor: what is it?
Had it 2 months now.
Acts fine, swims fine, eats fine as of now.

From searching online, looks like the tumor may be eventually fatal.
It will grow big and the fish can't swim, stops eating, and dies.
So is this cancer, or is it a parasite?

As you can see from the blurry photos, this 9" male is still very healthy and swimming fast.
