Senegal bichir + Gar?

hey, I have two 4" senegals and I want to add them to my 6" gar's tank, how long should i wait?

I think it going to be safe since bichirs are only bottom dwellers and i've seen tons of tank with them as tank mates.

yes, just worried about bullying, the birchir are to physically big for the gar to eat.

as long as its not alligator gar, no issues.. but once gators, assuming theyre gator gars,better monitor if they reach twice size of bichirs

It's only my little florida gar, the smallest bichirs is exactly half his length (including tail)

I used to keep my bichir with a needle-nose gar tankmate, but "Dinky" (my bichir) was already almost full grown then. When your bichirs get a bit bigger it should be safe to combine them.

Should be fine for a while. My gator gar doesn't bother my Senegal at all
