senegal bichir help!!

Hello i got my senegal bichir about a month ago and it was roughly thin and about 3 inches now its around 5 inches and really bulked up. It doesnt eat sinking pellets only eats 5 large earthworms everyday. And sometimes i feed it chopped squid. I noticed he has a bump on his side belly i dont know if its normal. Please help me i hope its nothing serious.

Do you have a picture? I would attribute it to being a plumb Bichir, but there might be other reasons.

3-4 times a day, I've read somewhere that juvenile bichirs should be fed as much as they want to help them grow hes all alone in a 50 gal storage box. Waiting till i get my 70 gal aquarium for him. Also wanted to ask if i could house yello cichlids with my bichir

Yeah I'd start cutting him back a little bit. Not too much though. As far as the cichlids, whats the name of the cichlids?

Im not sure what they are the petstore vaguely said they were cichlids, i tried to research they are yellow but not electric yellow cichlids. They are about 1.5/2 inches

If you don't know what they are exactly, don't get them. If you don't know the name of a fish, you can't really research it and see if it'll be a good fit for your tank.
