I bought two Senegal Bichirs two days ago. They seemed pretty happy (they're the only two in the tank and they get along just fine). Today I noticed that the larger one is listing to one side and I'm not sure if there's something wrong or not. I also noticed that when it breathes through its gills, it opens its mouth much wider than the other smaller Senegal, but I don't know if that's just the difference in size (neither of them are over two inches).

I had another Senegal and a Pleco about a month ago and both caught something that looked a lot like Whirling Disease, so I'm worried. I bleached everything in my tank twice and cleaned everything as well as I could; however, I bought these Senegals from the same store that I bought the diseased one from. The diseased fish was from a different tank too. I hope I'm just worried about nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think I know where this is going....

in b4 water parameters?

Did you even cycle this tank?

I wish I would have known about this stuff. I'm new to fish in general and I just trusted what the pet store people told me when I asked them what I needed to do. Thanks for your help... I'm going to try to run a cycle with fish.
